Benefits of Montessori

Montessori education offers our children opportunities to develop their potential as they step out into the world as engaged, competent, responsible, and respectful citizens with an understanding and appreciation that learning is for life.

1-Each child is valued as a unique individual.
2-Beginning at an early age, Montessori students develop order, coordination, concentration, and independence.
3-Students are part of a close, caring community.
4-Montessori students enjoy freedom within limits.
5-Students are supported in becoming active seekers of knowledge.
6-Self-correction and self-assessment are an integral part of the Montessori classroom approach.

Given the freedom and support to question, to probe deeply, and to make connections, Montessori students become confident, enthusiastic, self-directed learners. They are able to think critically, work collaboratively, and act boldly—a skill set for the 21st century.

CLASSROOMS
The attractive Montessori teaching materials allow the children to explore each subject at their own space and style. In a Montessori setting, there is a space for personal, small group and whole class learning activities. The Montessori environment teaches the child a respect for oneself, other people and the environment.

There are elevated wooden lofts in both of the Preschool/Toddler classrooms offering the children a quiet area to read and enjoy the listening station . The classrooms are warm and inviting in an endeavor to make the children feel as if they were in their own home.
